prometrium meds for women? does anyone take these??

I was on these pills, prometrium to help with my periods. Now since I had weight loss surgery, I have quit taking them. Does anyone that has has rny take these pills, I need them really bad, they help so much with my bad periods, and now I am almost 8 weeks post-op and don't know where I should take them or not, I asked my Dr. and he just had a blank look on his face, didn't know what they were for. help if you can!!!

after my RYN I had to start taking bcontroll after around 6 months out my pms was awfull I was going sometimes 3 to 4 weeks on my period ,dnt know what the other pills you said was but call your surgen or some one in the office & ask them sometimes it pays t have a family dr knows about the surgery also ,thank God I do she has helped me alot ,any ho have a good day

I take it and have ever since I was 3 weeks out from surgery. My surgeion and pcp both gave me the okay.
