Well, I'm not 100% but I'm back in the groove!!
I went to the YMCA this morning and did a FULL workout and then I went to All About Sports today and found the exercise bike I want. I'm not going to get it from them though! I googled the same bike and found it $30 cheaper with free shipping! Then I looked at Walmart.com to find something even cheaper and found this one http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7789782 It's about $100 less then the Schwinn I found at the AAS shop. I liked the Schwinn best but this one seems to have all the same bells and whistles. Hopefully, it's a durable bike and will hold up for just as long. Now I just need to figure out if I can finagle an early Mother's Day present or if I should just pull out my plastic!
Dawn, how's Katelyn? I hope she's doing better and you and the hubby are still germ free!

45 minutes strength training and 30 minutes cardio at the YMCA
just curious - why that one and not the recumbent of the same model? Is there any reason other than preference why one over the other, like does one burn more calories than the other?
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you. Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information. Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.

Hi Vicki!
I was wondering where you've been!
I started out on the recumbent bikes at the YMCA and then one day they were all taken so my choice was either an upright bike or the ellipticals which I still avoid like the plague!!
LOL....I opted for the upright! Anyway, I noticed that my RPMs were greater on the upright versus the recumbent and it said I was burning more calories and that excited me!
I stuck with it a few more days and got to where I prefer the upright now in regards to comfort which is odd since I have back and knee issues (go figure). I actually find the recumbents uncomfy and cumbersome now.
**those first couple of days on the upright was hard on the hiney though!!

that's cause yo hiney is shrinkin'
thanks for the info, I have a treadmill and a bowflex but wanted to add a bike to my "gym", do you think they would mind if I tryed em out side by side at Walmart? lol

LOL......I bet you wouldn't be the first!
How about a trial pass at the Y and see if you like upright or recumbent that way?
Ya know......my hiney is shrinkin' as i'm adding muscle right now which is a good trade off but the the scale is SOOO slow as a result. Oh well, good health is #1 and a number on the scale is #2. This is my new mantra, I recite it several times a day!
you go girl!
