Surgery went well and a WOW moment to boot!

First off, thank you all for the prayers and well wishes last night!  They must have worked because I feel better than they anticipated I would.  I was sent home with a script for demerol but haven't needed it yet (knock wood)! They retrieved my stones with a cytoscope and placed a stint in the ureter around 9:30 this morning and I was home sleeping in the recliner the rest of the day by about 1pm.  Everytime I go to the bathroom there's plenty of blood and yuck but by golly I can pee a stream now!!   This stint thing is going to be a trial I can tell.  Every time I urinate I can feel it tugging down from my kidney area.  I'm not sure how long it stays in but I'm supposed to see the urologist in one week. NOW here's my WOW moment......I was able to wear one of the regular size hospital gowns tied and my hiney didn't show!  It's been years since I could do that!  I would either have to wear two gowns (one in the front and one robe style) or they'd have to go get one of the really big ones!  Hopefully there was about 3 pounds of pee in me too and tomorrow the scale will move which it hasn't in a few days!

Glad to hear everything came (or is coming) out ok! Those gowns are just too sexy aren't they! Take it easy and enjoy some down time!

Bless your heart...I assume you had kidney stone surgery.  I hated my stent!!  You could always feel it inside like it was pulling on you.  Hang in there.  Could they not remove your stones?
