Vickie, Kudos!! I read this and it really inspired me, too.  I cringe when I hear people talking about how they don't like water, can't stomach the protein, etc.   I thought long and hard before I got banded, and really want to make this work.  I want this tool to help me do what I've never been able to do on my own.  I love good, healthy food, and water.  I was lucky and wasn't in much pain (I would say discomfort) after my band surgery and my first fill was a breeze (everyone told me it would hurt so much!).   Changing my mental and emotional relationship with food and cleaning my plate is another story. I want to be surrounded by positive people who are supportive and honest.  I also want to be able to share my struggles.  I take accountability for letting my weight climb to my high point of 280 lbs.  I ate too much, a lot of times unhealthy food, and I didn't exercise enough.   Although I know RNY and Band are different, I have seen both be successful, and unsuccessful.   Thank you for sharing this!!!    Samantha D.
