hi everyone! Never posted to anything before
Just wanted to say hi! I have never posted to a board before so excuse me if I seem a little muddled. Everyone seems so supportive around here. I lurked a little last spring and then lost my husband so I wasn't into checking out websites and stuff. Not sure that I am still, but like I said everyone seems so wonderful on this site. I have read lots of the posts and I guess I just wanted some of that for me too.
I hope one day to have either a lap band or a RNY, but that dream is even farther away with the events of the past year. At any rate, hope everyone is doing okay slugging through this mud we have.

hi there, my name is Lisa, and I read you story, I am so sorry for your loss, it is hard losing any one. I am divorced, a mother of 2 sons 18 and 20. I had weight loss surgery a month ago today, I had the RNY , I am doing ok, except for a muscle or an incision, that is giving me grief, but it is nothing major, had ct scans etc. guess it will heal in due time.
Some days I am glad I had the surgery, some days when the pain is bad I wish I hadn't, lol. I am sure in a couple of months when i am back on my feet, I will be glad, the eating part, doesn't bother me at all, I am not hungry, try to get in 64 oz. water is a toughy.
I am sure if you have it, you won't regret it. I have lost 29 pounds since the day I came home from the hospital. if you can afford it, or find a way to get insurance, you should have it done before you have any major health issues. I just have a bad back and high blood pressure, mainly, but alot of family health problems, heart problems and diabetes run high in my family, so I wanted to do something now.
I am 43 this month, lol. you know what that means for next month, lol. if you have any questions or just wanna chat, write me back or e-mail me, my e-mail is [email protected].
Lisa
