Menu for yesterday as a example

5 am Protein powder in hot cocoa, 1% milk, was not sugar free because I ran out.. must go to grocery!!     9 am  activia yogurt with yougurt covered cheerios in it for crunch 1130  am  a lil less than 1 cup chili with five townhouse crackers.  530pm     less than half of a 2.5 ounce chicken breast with a few bites of mac and cheese ( my mother in law cooked dinner)   and at 8pm I had a half cup of sugar free ice cream So  I know its not that im over eating, or eating around my band. My exercise has cut down some but I still do something atleast 5 days a week!!!    My first and last fill was oct 31 and I am tight int he mornings till around 9 or later but then im good for the rest of the day..  SO..... What do I do???  dawn

Hi there Dawn! It sounds like you are doing pretty good actually, not sure what the stall is due to.  Are you finding reinforcement for your efforts in other places other than the scale?  I've been playin' with the same 2 pounds for the last week or so.  Not really gaining anything but not lossing either. For myself, I've decided to quit being a lazy (passive) loser.  Here's my first three objectives: 1) I'm going to try one of those websites where I can track my diet on to see how many calories I'm actually taking in and adjust if needed.   2) On Gracie's preschool days (M/W/F) I'm already doing the YMCA thing for 30 minutes weights/30 minutes cardio.   I think i'll go out this week and get a used stationary bike (play it again sports) for the opposite days (T/Th/Sa) to get another 30 minutes.  That way i'll get 6 days in and allow one off day. 3)  I'm going to step away from the dang scale!  No more weighing myself multiple times a day!  Today alone I've weighed myself 3 times and it's only 11am!  I know it will eventually move on it's own since I simply can't consume what I used to but that doesn't mean I can't become a little more proactive in other areas! Do you think if a group of us (regardless of WLS type) began posting here on our daily successes and struggles we'd get the boost and reinforcement I/we (I can't speak for others but I suspect I'm not the only one) need?  I really don't enjoy going to the lapband site much with all the bickering lately and to be truthful it seems kinda clique-ish.  The main board seems to have just as much drama at times to.  I enjoy the KY board but it seems under used sometimes.  I'm thinking about some type of daily thread that would be a meals and miles kinda thing.  I will offer to get it going each day if there's any feedback that others are interested.  Heck, i'm going to do it anyway and maybe others will jump on board (i'm off to fitday.com first though!). Let me know what you think!

I so weigh 5 times a dang day!!!!  Hi by the way. lol. I am so with you on the lapband board I read it alot but dont post alot. We can do a weekly or daily thread. It migh help.  I cant get the scales to move, it is driving me nuts!! I want to be under 200 dag on it!!! I dont mind having to work for it but Im doing everything I am suppose to, other than my cardio is lacking. I need to step that up and stop whining I guess.  Let's do the thread thing here, see if that helps us out... DID u get a fill?? how is your restriction now if you  did? dawn

Yep, I got my fill this past Wednesday.  I'm up to 2.8 in a 4cc band, almost 75%.  I can finally say that I've got some sort of restriction going on but think I could still go a bit further.  Now I just need to use it!  I've gotten sorta semi-stuck about 3 times since the fill with whatever I had just ate simply sitting very heavily in my chest (i've never had this before this last fill).  Each time it has passed within about 15 minutes without PBing or sliming.  I haven't tried white bread since then and know it will get stuck if I try and it's about dang time!  I had 1/2 a cupcake at a party this weekend and had to go pace the floors....everyone just kept staring at me (they don't know about the band) like I was going to explode!

My birthday is in June and that's my biggest goal to be under 200 by then.  I would think that 25 pounds in 4 1/2 months is PLENTY of time so there isn't any reason I shouldn't be able to do it unless I'm just simply being a bum about things! OK, when I come back on here this evening I'll create some sort of thread and list my meals for the day. So far i've only had a coffee latte and a bowl of Kashi cereal (I didn't eat until noon).  I'm getting ready for a late lunch and then have to make a run to WallyWorld for something to make for dinner and B-day present for Gracie's BFF.   Later!!

Can I unite too? even though I'm not a lapbander?  Maybe you are in a weight loss stall and in that case you need to step away from the scale.  I know what that's like up and down off the scale all day.  You are doing great!  Give your body a chance to catch up.
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you.  Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information.  Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.

What shall I name this daily thread?  Any catchy ideas? I'm going to be in and out online here for a bit.  It's 9:15 and I haven't even made anything for dinner yet!  Gracie's munching a happy meal and I'm hoping to get her down by 9:30, Richard just called and he's on his way home from raquetball courts at SouthEast.  I'm trying to brown some chuck for a quick taco salad for him and me.  Hopefully, i'll be back in about an hour. Hey Vicki, I have to admit I'm a little curious about the workings of the DS but was too turned off to ask anything once the wars started!!

I am in for tossing the scales as I was becoming addicted to it.  When I went in for a fill last week the nurse told me I was doing well and that the scale would catch up.  I eat under 1000 calories about 3 days a week and I exercise at least 30 minutes daily.  My weight is moving slowly but I can see the inches shrinking.  People are telling me that they see the changes though I don't see it as much as others.  I plan to continue working on myself.  I have not come this far to let the scale slow me down.  You bandsters have kept me going with your encouragement and I hope I can do the same for you.  Take care and keep up the good work.
