I got an adjustment 4 days ago and I cant seem to keep much down...Cereal, taco meat, potatoes,  a few things I have tried and I have thrown up after 2 small bites...   I can eat about 5 bites of salad and tomato soup with a few crackers in all I have kept down... I have been through this before Christmas and I had a hard time..  I gained 3 p during that, after the unfill.  Its so hard to judge the water going down during an adjustment.... I thought it was ok...Maybe Im just eating the wrong stuff, im going to ride it out for a while...I had surgery in July and have only lost 21 p, its stressfull... Anyone had anything like this happen?????

Hi Lisa. I would say that if your following the rules... chew chew chew and making sure that you take small bites than you are too tight. That being said Dr shina makes us follow two weeks of liquids so im not sure how to gauge if it could be swelling or not??? My best advice would be call your doctor.   Good luck!!!! Dawn

Lisa, How are things going for you now?  Are you having more success keeping your food down? Now that my fills really affect my restriction (which didn't happen until my 7th fill), I eat only liquids or mushies for 2 days before trying solids.  If you're able to keep yogurt, pudding, cottage cheese, and soup down, at least you can get your protein in. Cereal and potatoes are high in carbohydrates, so they aren't the best food choices anyway.  And lots of people have problem with ground beef--possibly because of the texture?? Can you eat eggs?  What about tuna and chicken salad?  Moist chicken breast?  Cheese? I hope you're doing better.  I haven't had to have an unfill yet, but I'm continually aware that it might happen at any time. Kathy

Hi Lisa Ann, I can honestly say that I feel your pain!  I had my last fill 6 days ago.  At first, I felt like there was no major difference but over the weekend it kicked in with a vengance!  I haven't had to throw up or done that sliming thing I've read about but boy do things just SIT HEAVILY in my chest!  Now i've got to pay very close attention to the rules or I end up pacing the floor waiting for it to pass.  I'm actually happy though since now i'll not be so inclined to play with my diet, no more bread for me! How are you doing?  Still think you're too tight or did things finally settle down for you?
