OT: My mini van has died, rod knocking

I guess my van is history lol. We had some guy look at it today and its a rod knocking. Adam has neither the time nor the inclination to fix it. We must first fix the big red monster in the back yard of course. I will never buy a Kia again. It did run great. The only issues we had was the doors, but they're fixed, the heater up front but its fixed. When Adam replaced the c v joint, all the oil drained. I don't know if it drained without him knowing or if he knew, but he started it and ran it a while to check the heater and he ran it without oil. I bought this van with money from our car accident settlement. I didn't want it. But Adam kept harping on it and I bought it. It drove good. The engine and trans always worked good. Not now. I gave $4700 for it back in July its a 02 Kia Sedona EX, leather seats, captain chairs, pwr everything, moonroof, 126k miles. If I could get $3k for it, (I WISH) I'd let it go and try to put that down on something else. Adam says I should be happy, "I've still got HIS explorer to drive. Yeah for me. How happy I am that $4700 just blew away in the wind. Oh well. Anyone know anyone who'd be silly enough to buy a van that runs good besides has a rod knocking and will mostly likely need a new friggin motor??? We're not even trying for a baby this month. Too much stress at home. Stress at work. He's on a new line and the ppl on it aren't in for change. I think he had some issues the other night. A baby will happen when it happens. I can't afford a payment on a new van right now. I'm not allowed to work. But I'm seriously thinking about getting a job and to heck with what someone thinks! He says I'm spoiled and I should be happy with the explorer and we'll just let the van sit until he "wants" to fix it which will be never cause he's already said he's not forking out $1500 for a motor or putting it in once he got one.
