Question about lap band and medicaid

I live in eastern ky im interested in having the lap band done is their a dr that takes patients with medicaid and that weigh 380 for a lap band?

I'm on medicade and I started out wanting lapband, and I'm going to Norton's in Louisville. I was able to pick my surgeon and which I wanted, lapband or by pass.

I think that Doctors Wheeler, Tompkins and SMith at KDMC in Ashland take medicaid but I'm not sure. You said Eastern KY -- thought that might be closer for you.

Try Dr. Laura Velcu, she is located in Louisa ... her number is 638-3813 I know she takes Medicaid for sure.. I don't know if Medicaid covers the fills with the lapband.
