I have tremendous tightness in the mornings, so I don't even try to eat anything solid before 10 or 12.  Most mornings I have a protein shake or hot cocoa for breakfast.  If i sleep late, I sometimes have a late breakfast of yogurt with Kashi GoLean Crunch cereal.  By evening, though, I can eat a cup or cup and a half of food.  I generally try to have 6-8 bites of my protein first and then eat some of my veggies or fruits or carbs.  I aim toward 20-25 bites of everything, and that usually fills me pretty well. As for exercise, I walk on my treadmill and lift light weights several days each week.  I WANT to exercise every day, but I do better when I can fit it in in the mornings, and I don't always have the energy to do that.  So I've started working out in the evenings recently, and that's going to help me fit it in more often.  I like to aim toward 5-6 days a week.  Giving up Diet Mountain Dew and Diet Pepsi was difficult for me, but I did that cold turkey and never looked back!  My sweet husband also gave up soft drinks when I did--just for support--and that helped.  So now I drink only water, flavored water, skim milk, and lite Minute Maid canned drinks when I want something out of a can.    For the first year, I averaged losing a pound a week, but that has slowed recently.  Still, I'm averaging almost 4 pounds a month, so I'm not unhappy.  All of us wish we could magically lose all of our weight overnight!  But losing slowly and methodically feels very safe and healthful to me.  I know that I can continue to lose as long as I have restriction, and having restriction is up to me.  I can adjust my band whenever I need to, and I like knowing that I'm in control of this. It's nice to have some other bandsters to talk with! Kathy Kathy

Well, I've decided that at 2.6cc in my 4cc band I still have not found restriction.   After that first day I have not felt any tightness and reg food is going down fine (chew chew chew).  Knock on wood but I have never had a stuck episode or anything from day one.  I am eating less though without much effort and have lost a couple of pounds this week so I don't think i'll complain!  I'm simply going to work it and get some good milage off this fill and in 5 weeks i'll have the chance to get a bit more saline in my band. I'm going to stay clear of the bread this time since it's just not one of my triggers anyway.  I tried a soft drink yesterday as well (first since this last fill) and it was still fine going down.  I am craving something "cakey" though.  If there has to be something I really miss that has to be it! Kathy, hearing that you have 3.8 in your 4cc band helps me understand that there's nothing wrong with me!  Actually, my mother has 3.7 in her band and declined the MD when he offered her another fill but she's at goal so I figured that was typical for being at goal weight and 3+ years into it. My exercise goal is 3X a week.  Last week I made it 2X.  I go to the YMCA that's about a mile from the house.  I do 30 minutes on the weights and then 30 minutes cardio.  I hate to sweat too!  I think i'm going to try deep water aerobics soon and see what that's all about! I have a question, somewhat odd (i think).   My tummy never actually GROWLS anymore.  Now when it does it sounds/feels more like a kittens purr.  It actually kinda tickles me!  Anyone else have that sensation?

The tummy question  I cant answer cause I never get hungry. It's weird but I dont think my belly ever growls. I usually just eat every five hours or twice a day.  breakfast I usually skip solid food and do protein drink...  I hate to sweat but I try to do some formof it 6 days a week. ugh. I wish I loved closer to a YMCA  or even a gym. I need the weights!! dawn
