Help I'm in TEARS!!!

Well I just got a call today that Kings Daughters is not going to take me as a canidated because I started my 6 month medical weight loss and stopped last year...bc of personal problems so now they wont take me...  I was wanting to know if ANYONE knows of any other hospital that accepts Kentucky Medicaid? I don't care if it was in canada...anywhere would be fine.. so if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.

My wife and I are trying to have the lap-band done at St. Luke in Florence, KY.  I know its a good 2-2.5 hour drive from Ashland on the AA.  Dr. Sonnenstine is very friendly and his staff is great.  The issue might be your appoingtments and classes.  You can do all 3 appointments in one day, and then you have to go to 4 consecutive support classes on Monday nights.  My wife has 2 appoint ments done already and I start on the 16th. Also check out Lexington and Georgetown. Good luck!

 Thanks Missy! lol  Mine is just my secondary though.   Often times these days even if the insurance doesnt require it some of the surgeons require the 6 months of diet... Dr Shina used to take Medicaid.  Not sure if he does now.  Dr Allen, Dr Rod and everyone in the U of L practice does also. Dr Shina does his surgeries at Suburban in Louisville and  Dr Allen and the rest of them do theirs at Nortons (also in Louisville). My surgeon accepts KY Medicaid...Dr Blaine Nease. He is at Cabell Huntington Hospital and they are a Center of Excellence. I had no problems with them at all and it isn't too far away from Ashland. Take care and Goodluck.

I was soo devistated...to top it off the woman I spoke to was extremely rude and would not offer any reconmendations or anything...she just told me better luck next time? I have cried since about 3 o'clock yesterday when I found out..so I guess this gives me some hope =D and I have this site to thank and everyone on it to thank  but thank you soo much  I have a lot of work cut out for me monday..have to go get ALL OF MY MEDICAL RECORDS from every doctor I have ever went to..Call all of these surgeons that you guys have told me about. =D but again I cant say thank you enough!!!
