In better news: My wife went to her first Lap-Band nutrition class at St. Luke today, mine is on the 16th. She thinks I'm going to starve or be unhappy. I guess the first thing we hear is all of the stuff that we cannot eat. I think I will be ok. I'm just ready to begin my journey in bandland.
OK, sorry about all of they negativity, I'll try to find my happy place again.
I am soooo sorry to hear about the accident, thank God everyone is ok.. Please rest assured that you WILL be able to eat...it's just a little overwhelming at first. Trust Dr. Sonnanstine and his staff they are awesome!! things just start out slowly, I am 4 yrs out and trained by Dr. Sonnanstine as a patient advocate...I have been through it all as far as bypass surgery..new to lapband but my hubby is having that and has finished his classes.....I am looking forward to his journey..please feel free to send me messages with questions or concerns..if you would like alittle extra support let me know, I would be so happy to meet with you at any of the educational class night..or even at the office one day. I often attend meetings as well as office visits with patients if they feel the need...I will also be at the hospital next Monday with one of his patient sand family on surgery day.--if you would like to meet up on that day let me know.. all will be good, this is a difficult decision but the best one I ever made..I am healthier and happier today than I have been in years!!! I will see you at the docs video night, maybe we can sit and talk a bit after... Brenda
Thanks Brenda. If anything, I am nervous. I've not really had any surguries, so I don't know what to expect. My wife is trying to explain it (She's has a few adominal surguries), but by the time she is done, I'm in the fetal position
. I know it will be work, and I will be better for it.
I start the program next Wednsday (16th), I don't know when we are supposed to go to the nightly classes.
When is video night?
