I'm 1 Month Out Today. Regrets?

I had a few issues in the beginning right out of surgery with breathing and low potassium. And after getting home I felt like total hell, but I handled it ok.
I'm off both diabetes meds and will find out about the rest of my meds towards the end of January.
I know the kidney one is a life long med. sadly...
I have already lost 33 lbs and several inches. My tummy looks like a prune wooohoooo lol So sexy

I have had the foamies several times and puke every dang time I do and I've dumped once.(damn NSA choc milk!)
I'm learning! lol I stay tired and am working harder on eating my 3 meals a day. The treadmill is my new bestfriend!
But do I regret the surgery?? Nope. I never expected it to be easy. Nothing worth while ever is.
I spent several years lurking on this board. I've seen happiness and I've seen tears. I thank all of the "grads" because whether you knew it or not, you have taught me a lot.

Just a lil note to warn all pre and post ops. GET YOUR PROTEIN IN EVERYDAY!!! I have done rather crappy with mine since day 1 and I am paying dearly with VERY slow weight loss, major hair loss, and all out feelin like shit! PLEASE!!!! Follow your program's rules!!

Sounds like you are doing good. Wow 33 lbs is great. Stay focused follow the rules and the time flies by and the pounds will fall off. This is a tough time of year but I remember my first few months, I was so determened to prove to everyone that I was doing great. I followed my diet to a "T". Its so easy to take a pinch here or there but once you dump you never want to do it again. At 2 years out I have pushed the limit. Dumping is a very humbling experience. Keep up the GREAT WORK Jane

you are doing just fine ,walmart has a good milk I can only use 1% or HOOD LOW CARB COUNTDOWN it is in the milk section & they have white & choc it is yummy but I dnt do milk much at all ,hang on it is not easy I hate ppl to say it is the easy way out,no way it is ,my brothernlaw told me that it hurt me bad ,but any way hang in & things will get better & you will have up & downs need help this is the best place on earth to go OH is my life line

Hi Joy!

Congratulations on your one month birthday!! Just in such a short time things have gotten so much better for you...off diabetic meds that is so awesome, I bet when you started taking them you just knew you'd be on these retched things forever and now look...one obsticale gone.
