Norton's Suburban Support Group Meeting?

When is the next support group meeting for Norton Suburban in Louisville??  I have all of my classes and pre-op work this Thursday, so I figured if I am already in town, I may as well stay for a support group if it is then. I rarely will be able to attend them as it is, so for any chance I get, I want to take it. Also, if it is on Thursday. who's going to be there? I would love to meet any of Dr. Shina's success stories! LOL

I called Reta this morning at Norton Bariatrics with the same question.  The downtown meeting will be on the 11th and the Suburban meeting will be on the 20th this month (date changed due to the Holiday).  They both start at 6pm.  I have the regular dates written down somewhere but as usual I cant find it so I can't say for sure what the dates will be after December. Thanks, Becka. I won't be there then, since it is just the opposite days I have to be in Louisville as it is. But oh well, there is always next time! LOL

The support group is the 2nd tuesday of the month at the downtown location, the one at Suburban one is the 4th Thursday of the month unless its holiday season...then dates change. The doctors are usually not there for you to meet, they usually have guest speakers. You should try to make one,they are great to go to and meet new people. Missy

I have to be there all day on Thursday.......and I hope I am able to find something to do to kill time between appts.  I am free from 1 pm, to 2:30 pm, so there isn't much time to do anything else but find a place to grab a bite to eat and wal****il time for the next office appt.  Same thing for next week! Monday, Wednesday, AND Friday!!! Why in the world couldn't they have gotten them all on one day?!?!?! LOL Oh well, its all for a good reason, so I am not going to complain at all. At least I get great gas milage!   Have a great week!

Hi Lachelle, I know what ya mean. I tried to reschedule my appts. to be around the same day could never get 2 the same day though:(  I was there all day Fri. I went to cardio doc @10 then had out patient surg for the filter @2:00. In the shopping center behind Mcdonalds is a huge bookstore. I went over there bought me a few mags.I had to go back today for a stress test @ 10:00 talk about stressin' my surgery is Fri@10:30. the doc said dont worry it'll be read same day, he wouldn't lyin by the time I got home an all's well message was left on the answer machineI think that was the hardest part of the whole process I think???   well anyway be careful stay safe all the crazies are on the road!!!!!!!.................good luck & best wishes............Tammy
