MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!

Drs. Greenlee and Steiner Center for Weight Loss Surgery Saint Joseph East,  Medical Office Bldg 160 North Eagle Creek Drive, Suite 201 Lexington, KY  40509 859-967-520 Doctors accept medicare,  not medicaid Hospital accepts both. The Center has a $250.00 program fee. (program fee is not covered by insurance) of which $125.00 is due at first appointment  where you will see an internest, nutritionist, and exercise physiologist.    The balance of the program fee is due at your last appointment before surgery. The co-pay for the surgeons,  if you  have medicare  and have medicaid as your secondary... is 395.00, which $250.00 is due before surgery and the balance is due after surgery. This co pay can be verified with their insurance specialist/financial consultant,  Roxanne @ 859-278-4960, ext. 243  

Bluegrass Bariatric Surgical Associates (Drs. Weiss, Oldham, and Malaya) and Georgetown Community Hospital do accept Medicare.   We do not accept Medicaid as a primary insurance.  If Medicaid is secondary, the hospital bills will be sent to Medicaid for secondary payment.  We do not get prior approval for weight loss surgery through Medicaid.   Bluegrass Bariatric Surgical Associates are not contracted providers with Medicaid therefore; they are not able to send any bills for secondary payment. MY  MOTHER  AND  I  WENT  TO  A  MEETING  FOR  Bluegrass  Bariatric  Surgical  Associates (Drs. Weiss , Oldham,  and  Malaya)  AND  SHE  HAS  BOTH  MEDICAID  AND  MEDCARE  BUT SHE  SAID  THEY  TOLD  HER  THAT  SHE  NEEDED  TO  PUT  500.00  UP  FRONT  BEFORE WE  COULD  DO ANYTHING..

 Yes the 500.00 is the Program fee...it covers everything the insurance does not.
