Losing to fast?
I am not a Dr. by any means, and wouldn't even presume to be able to come to a web site and tell you your Dr. is wrong, because he knows your case, I do not! That being said, I'll just share my own experiences with you (and please remember that no two people's experiences are the same) and you can have a different perspective.
I lost 18lbs. the first 10 days out of surgery. I was never told I was losing too fast as the weight that was first coming off of me was water weight. I'm curious if you were weighed on a tenita scale and if it showed your losing muscle rather than water?
If you have questions as to why he would think you're losing too fast, ask him. I remember when I first weighed after surgery, I thought 18lbs wasn't enough. I was quickly encouraged that I was doing just fine.
If you're meeting all your daily requirements for protein and fluids, then maybe there is another issue at hand.
It sounds to me you need to maybe give him another call and let him know you were a little distressed with your appointment as you're doing everything they've asked you to do.
Just my 2-cents--
Good luck--
Dee
