Wow, that was incredibly fast!  I'm home from the hospital, and everything went so well!  I was up and walking about 3-4 hours after surgery, and continued walking through the night.  Rather sore (go figure).  Asthma gave me a few fits, but everyone was impressed at the effort I was making - even the Upper GI guy LOL! My nurses were incredibl.  Tiffany was during the night, and I kept busy.  She was a true sweetheart.  Erin, Sherry and Sheila were my day nurses, and they were great too.  There was a patiend that died this morning, and Erin was bit out of sorts, but she was very attentive to the needs of her patients.   I am achy, and it hurts to breath too deeply, but other than that, i'm good to go!!  So make room on that bench!   Oh-I lost 8 pounds since last week, but I gained 6 of them back today  because of all the IV fluids.  I wasn't expecting that!    Oh well, it will be gone soon ;) Thanks everyone for the kind words and support!!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!  I knew u would be fine!  I was so ticked off with my phone company cause of some kind of glitch that made it to where I couldnt call long distance.  I had planned to call u yesterday! lol I heard lapband healing was alot easier and I am glad for u. Gentle hugs comin ur way!  Make sure u walk as much as u can and cough if u need to in order to clear the lungs and everything. Talk to u soon!

Just a lil note to warn all pre and post ops. GET YOUR PROTEIN IN EVERYDAY!!!  I have done rather crappy with mine since day 1 and I am paying dearly with VERY slow weight loss, major hair loss, and all out feelin like shit!  PLEASE!!!!  Follow your program's rules!!

Hi Lisa,

I'm so glad you are doing so well! I have been thinking about you and praying for ya. I sent you a hospital card but it said on the website you might not get it if you weren't there until Monday:( I had hoped to come and see you but I was unable to. You keep doing well and don't overdo it because you still had major surgery. I wish you much, much success.

Take care,

Kellie

Glad to hear you did well! Welcome back home and now just relax and enjoy the changes that will happen to you.  Try not to fret about the extra poundage from the IV's, it'll all disappear soon enough!  Congrats-- Dee
