Does anyone else feel like this?

Post Date: 10/7/07 8:51 am Ok I know there could be worse problems to have ...but mine is how do you accept all the comments and compliments that people are saying about your weightloss? I mean of course I love it and it boosts my ego, but all of my life I have never ever wanted to bring attention to myself, and my mind is still that way, but I work in a satelllite office except on Saturdays and when those who havent seen me for awhile see me on Saturdays they gather around me like I am a new baby or something and rant and rave...even the doc I work for when he needed me yesterday would say hey skinny...could you get this for me ....me skinny? not even anywhere near skinny,but its almost embarassing and I cant get it in my mind that I should be happy, so why do I feel ike running and hiding under a table??

You know I don't really know what to tell you. I had my GB surgery on 8/27 and people are starting to notice. I have only told a few people at my work because of the vicious rumor mill. I have had a few people tell me that they can tell I have been losing and wanted to know what I have been doing. I didn't lie to them I just jokingly said a remark and changed the subject. I am usually not one to shy away from things so I can't really relate to you. My advice to you is to enjoy it and know that they are trying to encourage you. This is the time not to run and hide but to let your inside shine and relish in the compliments. Hope this helps.

I am getting the same thing and i am not sure how to respond, either!  I dont want to seem like I am a snob or anything.
