Well, I had not lost any weight since 4 weeks out. I am now 6 weeks well 7 come Monday. Yesterday the scale actually went down 4lbs and I was sooo happy. WRONG!!! I am right back up 4lbs this morning. According to my NUT I am eating well and getting in plenty of protein, veggies, fruit, and carbs. I get in as much water as I can although I do need to get in at least 1-3 more cups per day. I am walking aprox 4 days per week and am going a little longer each time. I am in tears. Ii wonder if I have stopped losing already! I am looking at 3 weeks with NO LOSE! Am I doing something wrong? I am taking all my vits. and only eating what is allowed. Please help!!!!

Dr. Oldham did my suregery at Georgetown!  Don't get discouraged.  It will come, with every fill it will get better. I gained 7 lbs back about 6 weeks after surgery and then next month lost it and more.  Sounds like your doing everything right, hang in there, stick with the rules and you'll be fine.

Hey Gerri,  Stalls and 2lbs. weight gain is a normal phase of the surgery. Your body is adjusting to the changes you made and is still healing. It is holding onto everything you put in your mouth. Also, don't forget 2-5lbs. can be water weight. It's been unseasonably warm here and the heat can make us hold water.  I had my yearly visit with the surgeon this last week and when I woke up that morning I had a 3lbs. weight loss. I was so ecstatic going in the clinic with the loss, only to have it put right back on, on the tenita that afternoon. I cried! It's water weight for me.  What you're body is doing is natural and the weight loss will pick up again! Keep your exercise up and keep getting in your protein! You're doing fine!  You look fantastic and are doing very well! I look forward to seeing you again.  If you have any questions, please call me. I'm here for you anytime.  Take care,  Dee P.S. I will be adding the walks pictures sometime in the next few days. I've just been out and about and not at home to do it. Sorry it's taken so long. I'll send you a PM when I get them uploaded!

Please do not be discouraged. I have been right where you are and even now I may go a month without losing. I am 6 months out and lost big at first and now it has slowed down. I have lost 86 pounds but only 3 or 4 a month now.  I figure it is still better then where I was a year ago. You are doing everything right and making good habits. I also weigh daily and we both know we should not. I go up and down and then all of a sudden sown and there it stays. Remember how much you have to eat to gain a pound. Remind yourself you are not eating enough to do that.

Good luck

Donna
