I am pre/op so I cant help alot but have lurked for yearssssss lol so I will try... Alot of people talk of stalls that last a while.  Have u been measuring ur lost inches the whole way through?  You may be losing inches now.

Also, look how much you have already lost.  You have done amazing!  I am sure you are at or below your surgeon's goal.  Just go back to basics, protein first and let the tool keep workin.  Goodluck hun.

Just a lil note to warn all pre and post ops. GET YOUR PROTEIN IN EVERYDAY!!!  I have done rather crappy with mine since day 1 and I am paying dearly with VERY slow weight loss, major hair loss, and all out feelin like shit!  PLEASE!!!!  Follow your program's rules!!

Hey Amanda!  Do not get discouraged! You have been doing great with your weight loss! You've lost just at 50% of your weight in the first year of your surgery, (this is the weight at surgery, not your consultation weight) and that is above expectations of the surgery.  The stalls are normal and happen to us year-anniversaries. It is currently happening to me too, so you're not alone.  What I've been doing is reevaluating my eating and exercise routines. I've also decided to get back to the basics and see if that will help me. It has for me, because I've had a 3lbs weight loss this week.  The average weight loss is about 1-2lbs a month for a woman a year out from surgery. You're doing fine! Don't be discouraged and maybe take a look at your routine around your diet and physical activity. Are there any bad choices you're making with food? Are you eating slowly? Are you waiting the 1hr after meal to drink rule? Are you getting adequate exercise? I've attended a support group meeting at my clinic for new post-op patients and I realized that there was a lot I *placed* out of my mind. It really helped to hear the basics of WLS rules. Again, don't be discouraged. Remember, you've lost just at 50% of your body weight since surgery! I say good freaking job!!! Take care and if you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email! Dee
