OT:Adam's aunt had cancer surgery, needs prayer...
Adam's aunt Rosie had surgery for her rectal cancer last Friday. They say they got all the cancer, thank the good Lord for that. But, for the past several days she's been talking out of her head, seeing ppl who aren't there. Escaping from her hospital bed by climbing over the rails (the woman was cut from her breast down to her privates) and going outside. They've now gotten sitters to sit with her. The doctors say its effects of the anisthsia (I know I spelled that wrong) and morphine. I'm afraid its a stroke or something. We're 2 hours away from them and when I was talking to her son a few mins ago he said the dr is certain its the medicine. But since Rosie's getting hard for them to handle the dr's want her to go to a nursing home for therapy for 6 weeks. The family is thinking about bringing her home and having home health aids and sitters come out while they work durning the day, if the dr allows that. She's 73 and this just scares me. My father in law, her baby brother is scared, Adam is worried, Rosie's family is torn up. She's doing great surgery wise but this talking out of her head, wandering around on her own is scary. Have any of u ever heard of this happening to someone from anthesia or morphine? I told her son to ask the dr if he is certain its not a stroke or something more serious. I don't know if they've even checked her. If u have a minute please keep Rosie in your prayers. I know God has His reason's for things and we're not supposed to question. It's just hard sometimes.
