6 months of doctors appts.
I have had all of my nutrition classes in for the last 6 months, now I have been waiting for a month to hear if I had been approved, so yesterday I called the bariartric center and asked them what was happening and they informed me they were still waiting on my dr.s records.
I called the dr.s office and they said they faxed them sept.4th. to make a long story short they faxed them to the surgeon instead of the bariartric office, they refaxed them, etc, now my June primary family physicans record isn't there, I don't know if they lost it, or I didn't go that month. Has anyone submitted to insurance without all 6 months of dr.s records I have ky medicaid. the girls in the office at kings daughters said they could submit them, but I probably wouldn't get approved with that month missing. any ideas???
I dont have medicaid as a primary but have heard u do need all 6 months. If I were u I would go to the doc and get that month sent and get copies for urself of all ur tests incase the we didnt get it stuff starts up more.
Just a lil note to warn all pre and post ops. GET YOUR PROTEIN IN EVERYDAY!!! I have done rather crappy with mine since day 1 and I am paying dearly with VERY slow weight loss, major hair loss, and all out feelin like shit! PLEASE!!!! Follow your program's rules!!
I have Kymedicaid, I was told I only had to do a 3 month not a 6 month supervised diet. I wouldn''t worry to much about that last month "when it comes to being approved"
when my stuff was all sent in my 3rd month wasnt even in there, even though I had done it! I was approved on the first try... I think that the 6 month thing is bull, some people say they never had to do it, some have said they never even heard of it! These are people who have medicaid "KypassPort" that I have asked. Who knows all doctors are different so they are not going too all say the the same thing. On another note, Joy gave you some great advice, I would listen to her and see what happens! Good luck hun!
thank you all so much for the information, I guess it wouldn't kill me to wait until December to submit it, I would rather be safe than sorry, I was just so excited waiting on insurance approval, just to find out it hadn't even been submitted. this board is a joy, I love reading it everyday.!!! Lisa
