Vitamins?
Okay so I have not had surgery yet but vitamins are one thing I am not sure about. I already have thinning hair due to a pre exsisting condition. What at the best vitamins to take after surgery to try and help prevent further hair loss. Also, what vitamins do you guys reccomend in general? I know protein is the main thing to help prevent this but wanted to know what types of vitamins everyone takes. I saw on Walgreens they have some vitamins by Optisource for bariatric patients. Anybody tried these? Also anybody ever take cod liver oil? I read that is good for hair and nails.
My hair loss after surgery was muy mal! So, I started taking Biotin (bought at Wal-Mart) and pop 2 capsules a day. I've been taking it now for about 6 months and my hair growth has been fantastic! Even my beautician commented on how fast my hair was growing back.
I would encourage you to take Biotin to help with hair and nails. I swear by it! I believe I take about 2000mg a day. (I'll have to double check on the dosage though)
Good luck to you--
