Post Date: 9/16/07 11:35 am I have been having sinus trouble for the past 2 months! I was on 2 rounds of Augmentin 875mg 2 times a day and it did nothing.  I'm going thru test to find out whats causing my vertigo and I keep thinking I'll make an appt to see my ENT for my sinuses but I keep putting it off. Thursday night I got tired of it and went to our ER and that doc said that its not an infection and I should use Flonase and she told me about this thing called a nasal lavage. It looks like a little tea pot, u put warm water and a packet of this stuff in it and clean out each side of your nose. Well I've been doing that since  Thursday afternoon. My sinuses are burning. I do not have a runny nose. Its just sinus pressure and pain. Since I've been using this tea pot looking thing and the flonase my sinuses are burning like crazy. I usually get a sinus infection once or twice a year but I've never had anything last this long. I am so tired of taking tylenol for sinus headaches. Anyone else having sinus issues and if so what helps u? I'm going nuts here trying to figure out what to do. I might just say the heck with it and go to my PCP or ENT tomorrow, which ever can get me in, I just hate to go if its not an infection and antibotics won't help. Thanks Ange

Angie! really sounds like allergies, have had the same problems for long time, sinus, dizzy, headach, you name it test, i have ringing in my ears being stuffy, my nose, have what they call miniers, and allergies, Try see if dr will give you some zyretec, along with the nose spray or use some ocean spray for the sinus, it may help you. I'll ask the next time I see them. Someone suggest Alavert since Claritin doesn't help me but I'm on meclizine for dizziness, atvian for the panic attacks, now zoloft to hopefully prevent panic attacks in the future and I'm afraid just to go out and try something. I remember taking Zyretec years ago. I'll ask about it again. Thanks!

Fall is my allergy time as well. I usually get hit for about 2 months when the ragweed comes into bloom. Zyrtec is good. I have taken it with the Flonase. Tylenol Allergy helps me alot as well. Sherryl
