HELP: LOOKING FOR A SUPPORT GROUP

I LIVE IN THE ELIZABETHTOWN AREA AND I HAVE TO GO ALL THE WAY TO LOUISVILLE FOR A SUPPORT GROUP MEETING SO I SURE WOULD LOVE TO FIND ONE CLOSER TO HOME.  THERE WAS A LADY THAT USE TO HAVE THEM HERE IN ELIZABETHTOWN BUT SHE NO LONGER DOES.   SO IF ANYONE KNOWS OF ANY PLACE CLOSE BY PLEASE LET ME KNOW  THANK YOU SO MUCH MINI ME

I also live in the Elizabethtown area and have never been to a support group because I do not want to drive to Louisville. So I would also like to know if there is one closer. I would love to attend one. 

Maybe you guys can put one together yourselves.   I know a few of us here in the Lexington area have decided to put one together and we met for the first time a few weeks ago. I believe we are going to make it a routine and continue to invite everyone to our outings. At this time there are only 4 of us in the group, but it was really nice talking with other WLS patients and hearing of their own personal experiences. I'm thinking if we keep sending out the invitations, (when we decide to get together) the group will get larger.  I believe Ange (a popular poster here--and a total sweetheart) is in the Elizabeth town area and perhaps she'd be willing to come to one of your get togethers, should you plan one.  I hope this helps. Good luck in getting one together.  Dee 

HI Mini Me,   i also live in e-town.Last month i meet a girl from e-town at the support meeting at norton's. we are going to ride together.if u would like  ride ,would lov to have u.give me a call at 769-8092. or anyone else out there.it would be nice to have a support group here and maybe between a few of us we can get one started. I am from the Leitchfield Area.  I am having surgery October 9th in Elizabethtown.  I don't know if Dr. Kaza has any support groups to offer his patients or not. Please let me know if you develop one around the Etown area. Thanks, Becky

Hi rebkat!      Just got your message.I don't know if dr kaza has a support group.call his office and if they do let me know.I would like to get inone here close to home and really haven't checked on it yet. i had my surgery july 27th so still new at this.i will be going to louisville for one next Thursday if u would like to ride with me.it starts at 6;00pm wil leave here 5;00.i live real close to I-65.Just e-mail me at [email protected]. and welcome aboard.      Marilyn
