OT:Having a baby shower for a friend

Our neighbors next door recently moved up here (back in March) from Texas. He was stationed at Ft Hood and now he's here at Ft Knox. This is her first military move and she's been homesick and blue. She's also having a baby girl scheduled to be here Sept 25. Since they don't have any family at all up here and few friends another neighbor and I thought we'd have them a baby shower. I'm just not sure who to invite. Our subdivision isn't huge and I don't know everyone out here. I feel funny inviting ppl who don't know the couple to it since its a baby shower ppl expect gifts, know what I mean? I thought about just writing on the invitations that it was for a baby shower for them since they had no family up here, few friends. What are some of your suggestions? The lady who's doing it with me is leaving the invitations up to me cause she just moved here from California a year ago and doesn't know as many ppl as I do. We're thinking of having sandwiches, cake and ice cream and I believe games. What do u write on a invitation in a situation like this where not everyone is going to know the momma and daddy to be? She's got a 4 yr old  lil girl but this is their first and her first away from her huge family. Any suggestions would be great! Hugs Ange

I love giving baby showers! Here is a idea on what to put: Help me welcome our new neighbors to OUR neighborhood! As some of you know (Put NAME) is having a BABY! (even if they dont know) What a great way to welcome a new neighbor than having a baby shower!! I hope that you decide to come! Give baby shower information here!
