OT:Our son had a "freak"/weird accident

He is ok first of all but my stepson (for those of u who don't know) James had a freak accident last night, or this morning around 4am. His mom lost her job, her apt and they had stayed with a friend for the past couple of nights. I don't know if James was sleep walking or if he just got up and didn't know the lay of this lady's apt or since he has a cold if he was just loopy from cold meds.  He walked right into a big wooden entertainment center. Jonetta said when she heard a big crash she got up and ran in there. He was sitting on the floor with blood all over his mouth and chin. He knocked 3 teeth completely out by the roots. One tooth is embedded in the top of his mouth. She took him to the ER and he got one stitch in his lip and had to go to a oral surgeon today. They are thinking about waiting a month for the swelling to go down before taking out that tooth in the top of his mouth. She called me right when it happened and I let Adam know at work. Adam was pretty worried. He's still worried cause he knows James is in pain but Adam was afraid someone had smacked him around.  James is told sometimes when things happen that she knows we won't like to lie to us or not to tell us the whole story. When Adam got home around 7:30am he was ready to hit the road and head for Nashville but he called Vanderbuilt first, the hospital and they told him that James had been discharged already. The doc who saw James also told Adam that if he, the dr, had thought someone hit James in the mouth, then the police would have been called and James would have still been there.  Adam would take custody of James in a heart beat. He even told her the other day that he would not legally take James away from her but that he would love to have James stay up here, go to school, just till she gets a job and back on her feet. She told Adam she'd consider it but when he asked her about it she said that James does not want to live up here. We're not as wild as she is, we don't party. We're also a little more strict than her. He gets away with alot more down there. He also loves his mom. He is a mommas boy. He loves Adam but he is his mommas boy. They were still at the dentist office when she called to give Adam a update.  Mom, both Moms (mine and Adams) he's ok, in pain but ok. Not sure if he's coming up this weekend or not. Just keep him in your prayers. I'm sure he'll be sore a day or so. Keep Jonetta in your prayers as well that she'll find a job. We might not always get along but I don't wish her ill. Just wanted to let ya'll know. It sounds like a weird sort of accident but a accident just the same.
