medicare

does any one  have  medicare A & b   ,  is  it easy or hard to get approved?

My mother had no problems getting both the first RNY approved and now the removal of the skin done. They wouldn't pay for the "plastics" portion of the tummy tuck, but they paid for the actual surgery and other charges.

I have medicare A&B they paid 100% at the hospital and I pay a little to my Dr. I went to Nortons in Louisville and had Dr.Allen My surgery was done on June18 Medicare has approved both of these. You need to go were medicare has approve the Dr and hosiptal.

Hi Cynthia, I'm new to the board and I seen this question and your answer and had one of my own. What type of surgery did you have done? How long did it take from say your first visit to the doctor before you were able to have the surgery? Did you just have a & b or did you have one of medicares suggested medigap policy?  Hope I am not stealing the first posters question but thought they may have the same questions too. Thanks. Kellie
