Pre-Ops?????

Hi all....... My time is getting closer........ YAY........ I am getting more and more excited........ I go for my pre-ops next week...........and after that I go for the Hemotology and Heart appt............and then its................SURGERY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! August 20th with Dr. Shina........... I was just wondering what to expect for the Pre-Ops?????????????? I go to Louisville for that............soooooooooooo......any insight is will be helpful.............. Thanks Cindy

Hi Cindy,   My surgey with Dr Shina is august 3rd, I had all of my preops last week at Suburban. No big deal, you have a u/s of Gall Bladder, Blood work, measured for your abdominal binder, chest x-ray to take to your pulm. Appt....and the class is also the same day, which was a good class...any other questions feel free to ask. Good Luck. Missy

ok thanks. Well I dont have a gall bladder. My chest xray was done with the pulm. doctor already, and they found out I had sarciod which is not going to affect my surgery. They had to do a biopsy on my lung cause my lymp nodes were enlarged on my lungs so they discovered that I had sarciod, but its nothing serious. So they are really just repeating some of the test that I already have had done. Oh well I will just have to explain when I have it done. Blood work, ewwwww I hate it.  Thanks Missy I wish I was having my surgery on the 3rd but I guess the 20th is not to far away............

Hello I also go to Dr Shina and will be having my surgey next Friday, the 27th.Nervous ,sared and excited.The re-op testing was a breeze.I did end up having a strees test done last week and everything was fine.Good luck to both of u and i will be thinking about u.marilyn
