surgery problems

I was banded on June 18.  Couldn't do the lap procidure, so had to cut me, stapled me up after surgery, kept the staples for 2 weeks,  I live about 100 miles from the dr.  on the trip home my incisions opened up.  By the time I got home 4 of the 5 were opened.  I'm four weeks out and am still nursing incisions.  I am happy with the band althouh I have no restridtion yet.  Due to have my  first fill on Aug. 21, can hardly wait.  I have been fortunate enough to lose 17 lbs so far.  anxious to see what the future holds. 

My question is has anyone else out there had this problem with their incisions?  How did you deal with it?

If you dont mind me asking, How come he couldnt do it Laparoscopic? I am using the same doctor, and that is my greatest fear...I hope  you are doing better. Missy

Due to previous surgery scaring.  my sister and two of my cousins have Dr. Shina and were able to do the lap.  so it is definately not the Dr.  Don't worry you will be fine.  I had gallbladder surgery 10 years ago and had to be cut then also.  Just me,  I've always been an oddball.   Char
