~A question for all the patients of Dr. Wheeler of Ashland, KY/KDMC: While surfing the main message board, I came across a question concerning whether or not a was required to bring their CPAP to the hospital? Does Dr. Wheeler require this? I was diagnosed with MILD sleep apnea, haven't bought the machine yet because trying to save money and never had any problem until I gained my last 60 pounds. If anyone has any info on this question, please reply...Thanks!!

They ask that you don't bring your own CPAP. They will have one for you (with new mask) at the hospital.

Hi, I just had surgery with Dr. Wheeler 8 days ago, and I took my own c-pap machine, they said they would have one for me, but I have been using my own for 13 years and I am used to it, didn't want to take any chance that their's wouldn't fit or feel right. You sure did choose a great Doctor and hospital! The nurses and staff were so kind to me, they want you to tell them if you have a problem with any thing, but I didn't. As soon as you use your call light, they answer it. My surgery was 45 minutes! I had roux-en-y by-pass. You will be in great hands, good luck with your surgery. Leatha
