Incision question
Its me again. I have a question that's probably best suited for a 'general' forum, but since I'm already posting here, this is for all you post-ops.
How long does it generally take for the incision to heal? Laparoscopic and open post-ops please feel free to answer. Also, how long is it before you can bend and twist normally? I hate to admit it, but I'm worried for purposes of climbing steps, using the bathroom, etc. I have steps in my home.

Not sure with the lap rny incisions, my incision was the open rny one. It starts under my breast and goes all the way to my belly button. It was over 3 weeks before I could shower, man, I hate those sink baths, lol. But totally worth the hassle in the end. I've lost alot of weight due to this surgery and I'd do it all over again. It stayed scabbed up for 4 weeks maybe in places. I didn't feel like myself that first month. It was hard but each day gets a little better. I had steps then too. I did fine. The night I got home I went upstairs and couldn't sleep in the bed so I was back down stairs a while later on the recyliner.
Cathryn mine was laproscopic. My incisions where no big deal. My doctor sewed the inside layers but the top layer was glued shut. I showed the day after my surgery. I had scabes for maybe 10days. Its hard to remember because that was no big deal. I was driving 1 week after my surgery. I couldn't pick stuff up for probably 10 days. I have a two story house. The bathroom is upstairs. I was climbing steps as soon as I came home. Getting up out of a chair was tough but that was just me, you may be
all together diffrent. I didn't sleep in my bed for 2 weeks. Couldn't get comfy. Hope this helps. I would do it all over in a heart beat.
