Merry Christmas!!!
I know I've got a busy day today and tomorrow so I thought I'd hop on here and say Merry Christmas to all u beautiful people! I get to bake 2 turkeys, 2 hams today. Well I'm not sure if I'll get them all done today or early in the morning. Tomorrow my parents, stepparents, brothers, neice, father in law, and for the first time since we've lived up here 6 years now, Adams younger sister and her family are coming. Thats a gift in itself. We've always driven down to Hopkinsville to see them and only one of his sisters has ever driven up, but they emailed me to see if it was ok to come up. That is just so wonderful. Oh well, enough sappy right? Merry Christmas u guys! Between getting the hams, turkeys in and out of the oven and cleaning this house from top to bottom I'll hop on here and check with ya'll!
Love and Hugs and have a safe and happy Holiday!
Adam, Angela, James, and Allison!
Oh, I've also got a bday cake to bake. My 5 yr old daughter Allison reminded me that Christmas is Jesus's bday and we should bake him a cake. Isn't she a sweet one? Well, she is sometimes!
Merry Christmas Ange, to you and your family...We are all going to my dad's house...My bother and sister in law and my niece are in town from Atlanta...He is going to bake the ham and has already made mom's recipe for potato salad and mac. salad...It is wonderful that the whole family will be together...I saw them tonight for the first time since my surgery and my brother's reaction was priceless...he never has much to say ...but said I looked fantastic...then my niece Molly came in the room and kept saying...OMG...Aunt Amy...you look so great...and just kept hugging me...I take that as a WOW moment...then I tried on a pair of pants Jane brought me...and they fit...Size 14...I never remember ever wearing a size 14...I cried...lol....so am wearing them tomorrow...
Have a wonderful holiday...
Amy
P.S. Love the idea of making Jesus a birthday cake...Too cute...
Those reactions are great and they never get old. Tomorrow we'll see Adam sister, her hubby and 2 sons. They haven't seen me in a long time. They saw me for a few mins right after my surgery and I hadn't lost enough to really tell. I'm looking forward to their reactions, lol, maybe I shouldn't say that but I am looking forward to it. Sometimes when I look at myself I still see a big butt and huge ugly legs but then I realize I've lost over 170 pounds and though I might be big in some peoples minds I'm alot smaller than I was, more confident in myself, alot happier. Its been so great and I'd do it all over again. Take care and have a great time with your family!
well I made 4 SF pumpkin pies today and we got a ham baked along with a cake. Still have an apple and maybe another pie to make. Got some hot dogs in case the little ones don't want ham. Secretly hoping they don't eat the hotdogs as that is part of my low carb diet plan.
Mom do I get to see uncle and aunty???? lol I would love to try some of the potato salad and macaroni salad save me some. I might run up to wallyworld for some of there amish style salads. we are doing a bunch of side items and just let everyone pick something.
My brother Marty and his wife called and they drove down from Chitown. So they will be here.
I know it will be busy for the next couple of days for everyone, so if you don't get to on here. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays. I hope things go better for you than it has for me the past few days.
Mom you want to hear something that floored me???? give me a call as I don't want to get in trouble with OH for venting.
I hopefully will see a bunch of you at Dr. Toms postop meeting. Thankfully they encourage all to come to it. If not I feel like I'm imposing.
