Bariatric Surgeons in the Lexington area
Hello Pamela,
When my husband and I first considered the surgery, we went to UK (as that UK HMO was our insurance at the time) which is where Dr. Gagliardi practices, but quickly changed our mind about him. The reason being is because it seemed as though his office was not as accessible as I would have liked.
I remember talking to his nurse, Theresa I believe, and she was nice, but was very cryptic in answer mine and my hubby's questions on the surgery and what length of time it would take to go through the proccess.
I got to thinking that if this is any indication of the aftercare we would face, then this Dr. would not be a good choice for us.
We ended up at St. Joes East and I haven't any regrets going there. I have read some profiles around here that Dr. Gagliardi is a good surgeon, but his main practice (as I understand it) is in Ohio.
The aftercare factor was very important to me and my husband, so it played a major role in our decision not to go with Dr. Gagliardi.
I highly recommend St. Joes East for bariatric surgery. They are resourceful, thorough, and completely supportive of ALL their patients.
By the way, you look great! Congratulations on your success.
