SINCE MY SURGERY, THINGS REALLY TASTE DIFFERENT. ALSO i HAVE THE LAP PROCEDURE AND STILL HAVE A PULLING FEELING ON MY LEFT SIDE. i HAD MY PROCEDURE ON OCT 30TH. I AM SIX WEEKS POST OP. I LOST A TOTAL OF 42 LBS SO FAR. I FEEL GREAT OTHER THAN THESE TWO THINGS.

The taste bud change after surgery and will change again. I had the bypass but the pulling in the left side I was told was also part of it. I would call your DR to make sure. Congrads on the weight loss that is great. Angela

Hey there April, I too have had the taste bud changes; it's very common amongst post-op patients. I used to have a passion for fish before the surgery, but have yet to taste it since. (I'm 3months post op now) Also, I have never been a pork or bean fan, but now I'm finding that pork and all kinds of beans are my main staple. I'm not sure what the pulling on your left side is, but if it's real bothersom, I'd encourage you to get ahold of your doc. Congratulations on your weight loss so far! Take care-- Dee
