Hi Everyone!! My name is Sandi and I am in the final stages of my pre-op fun stuff!!! I do not have my appt with the Surgeon yet, but it should be next week when I get the Appt. This is all new to me and am glad to find a good support group that can "hold my hand" . It sounds like all of you are doing outstanding and are quite happy with having the lap band. My friend had it done 3 years ago and lost 210# and now recently I found out I was Diabetic and this was my final straw. I wanted it done with her, but was not quite ready, nor did ins. paid for it at the time! Thank heaven they are understanding more about the need for wls. My friend has since moved and it is hard to keep trying to get a hold of her. So now I have you!!!:-) All comfort is appreciated, and all HEADS UP too! lol!

Welcome aboard Sandi, You will find a lot of support here...It gets a little crazy in here sometimes...So jump in freely...I had Bypass 2 months ago and feel fantastic. My sister Jane had the bypass and is also doing fantastic, she has lost over 150 pounds...My daughter Sarah had by pass in May and has lost 110 pounds...and last but not least the Baby sister Mimi...had Lap band 3 weeks ago... Best of luck on your journey...and we are all here to hold your hand along the way and welcome you to the losers bench... Amy

Hi sandi and you have come to the right place. I know how you feel, I too was diagnosed with sugar when I was going thru the program. Since my surgery, sugar is no longer a problem, nor is my blood preasure, chronic back pain, ect, ect, ect. So since you are in need of support and friendship welcome. I see my much older sister already introduced herself. She is almost 2 mths out and is doing wonderful. I of course jumped off the bridge first and everyone has jumped in the water with me. We are all at diffrent stages, so everyone knows what to expect. If you have any questions just yell. Jane

Well Sandi...its not as much fun unless you get mixed up in the family feuds Really, those just consist of everyone picking on Amy...she is our punching bag The family is really extended though to each and everyone of you out there. We are all here for support, laughter, a shoulder to cry on, and an ear to listen. Since everyone on this board have had different things done/happen to them from Lap Band to RNY to Plastic Surgery to learning about surgery, being denied surgery...you name it and someone can help ya out here. That is why this board is so great...If you need anything, feel free to speak up. As far as the computer goes, we can even help out with that too. Ok.....anyone can help you with the computer but me.

Welcome aboard Sandi! This place is a mega-dose-support-group and I have even made some great new friends here. I don't know what I would have done without this place; it has been a tremendous help to Mike and I. Please keep us posted when your surgery date comes up and all.
