kinda OT.... WTH?????

Ok... a lot lately i have gotten several comments from co workers within the hosp. Mostly they are good but the past 2 days i have heard "sarah you need to stop losing weight you are too small" and other comments like that. I also have people asking when I plan on stopping the weight loss. They counter these comments with... OMG you look amazing. I dont get it... tonight was the comment of the century..... "Sarah you look great... have you hit your goal yet?" I told her that I had 6lbs to goal and she said that i looked amazing and all that... then said "well I have this friend that had WLS 2 years ago and she cant stop losing weight... she's down to 100 lbs and has a feeding tube etc. I just dont understand... if you cant say something nice without a counter attack for negativity then why open your mouth? Its just crazy how people can be so blunt and rude about something they have never experienced... i know its ignorance but its making me nuts... any thoughts on this???? I work with these people so being a smart a$$ isnt cool because i have to see them daily...

I think we all walk in the same shoes at this point. I hear it all the time. I just think it is such a drastic shock to our family and co workers. The average Joe you meet on the street as no comment. I Was shopping at Dress Barn and this lady was helping me pick out a dressy outfit, size 10. Then I told her a year ago I wore a size 28 her only comment was How did you carry that much weight. You are so petite. I just smiled and went on. We have to give everyone time to get use to the new us including ourselves. And we need to turn into ducks and just let all those comments roll right off our new feathers. Love Ya Jane

I think its just crazy how people react.... I still dont completely see my loss... however its getting better every day. Also thanks for today Jane... i appreciate it.

Hey Sarah, as long as you are comfy with your weight that is what you want,i have people rain on my parade everyday, they say i look terrible and i should have never had wls.............what the****!!!!!! I have busted my but to look good......i think sometimes people that have never walked in our shoes are the most jealous and it is hard for them to understand.......did you no that i posted my bari ball pic and i had to neg comments sent to me...........one was i need to chew on some fat!!!!! Can you believe people. I mean even if i weigh what i do i dont wanna here how sick i look....but damn girl you are looking hot so hold that head high and go buy ya a new out fit for you accomplishment!!!!!!! vickie

Girl you look great.. i saw your pics from the ball... You are gorgeous! I know you have had some trouble with complications and such but hopefully your most recent surgery will be your last. I have a bunch of new outfits... some of em even let the "girls" peak out to play lmao! I am so not used to dressing like a girl but i dont think its going to take much long for me to really start getting into it lol

Hey Sarah.......i didnt even own a pair of jeans a yr ago....i wore sweats and all stretchy clothes......my daughter told me that i need to dress more girly and hubby wants me in a little mini skirt and halter lol.......now that will take me a few years on his part,im really not comfey in that stuff yet,but i do shop now lol.............take care vickie

Sarah, I get that too, and I have only lost 32 pounds...Now thats a funny....I was told that a good breeze would blow me away....Yea right...I can only imagine what they will say as I get closer to my goal...I think you look fabulous, You have always been beautiful, no matter how much you weigh....Now you look beautifully fabulous...You go girl...
