I've met Dr Geller and is a sweetheart and a great dr. Now, nothing against Dr Geller, but Dr Shina is my dr and to me he is just wonderful. He is the sweetest, funniest, kindest, most caring dr. When I met him I knew I could trust him with my life. He has always been there for me. Anytime I've had to call him after surgery he has called me right back. All of his staff are just wonderful. Dr Shina is very knowledgeable and he's done this a long time. He is very strict on after surgery care. I suggest u meet both of them and see which u think u can trust with your life. U have to go with your heart on this. They're both sweethearts. I just love Dr Shina to pieces and all of his staff. I can't and won't abide anyone downing him. No one that has honestly met the man, been to his seminars, can say anything bad about him. He is the best to me. Dr Geller, u r too. I wish u the best of luck trying to pick between these 2 lol, they're both great dr's & just so kind and considerate. Hugs Angela Email me anytime if u have questions. [email protected] or my messenger is [email protected]

Katherine, Dr. Shina performed my surgery and I have no complaints. I had an open RNY and have had no problems. I had very little pain after the surgery and have not had any vomiting or dumping. I attribute a lot of this to Dr. Shina being so insistent about following his instructions. He said during the seminar that he has performed over 2000 of these surgeries. I know from my pre-op research that the more surgeries a surgeon has performed, the lower their mortality rate. I had surgery on a Friday and Dr. Geller handled my hospital care over the weekend. I met him twice and he seemed very likeable. I was in the CCU and all of my nurses spoke very highly of him. I would agree with Angela. You should talk with both of them and see who you are the most comfortable with. Good Luck, Steve

Hi Katherine! Dr. Shina performed my laproscopric gastric bypass six weeks ago and I have felt very safe with my life in his hands. He was very patient with explaining everything to expect during and after surgery. Three years ago I had been scheduled for the lap band and Dr. Geller was going to perform the surgery, he is also very knowledgeable, caring surgeon (insurance denied coverage three weeks prior to my surgery). Anyway, I thoroughly believe you would really be in great care with either one of the surgeons!! Best Wishes to you!! Kathy
