BELIEVE IT OR NOT -- I HAVE A NEW DATE ! HA

I just got my new date today! yeah! I had to cancell because I am under doctor's care( my original date was yesterday 11/16/06 ) but now I will have 12/26/06 for my cava filter on Tuesday, then on 12/28/06 my surgery!!! I worked out great , because at first they gave me the 12-19-06 and 12-21-06, and my daughter was so upset with that, she said it won't be like Christmas if you are in the hospital, and my only grand child, Shelby, her birthday is on Christmas Eve. Dr. Wheeler said I would probably have to stay 4 to 5 days. So today I called, and explained and they were so sweet, they said sure!!! I thought they would think I was nuts, changing again, plus this will let me heal a little bit more. I can't wait!!! Thanks to everyone who has shown me love and support! Leatha

Ok You are wonderful, I just finished reading you profile, and what an inspiration you are. I am sure you are nervous but I pray you have an uneventful surgery. You have a wonderful support and spiritual system which makes all the difference. You enjoy Christmas and graduation and every ones birthday because you are about to have a new Birthday. Leatha, You will love the care you will receive at KDMC. I had my RNY over two years ago and the staff is wonderful. I will be there on Dec. 15th for a TT and BL and I chose to go back to KDMC because of the wonderful treatment I received in each and every department of that hospital. A lot of people that I know have gone to Lexington for their plastic surgery but I asked Dr. Tompkin's office who they referred his patients to and they said Dr. Rogers at KDMC. I really like Dr. Rogers and his office staff as well as Dr. Wheeler's and Dr. Tompkin's staff. Dr. Wheeler was the doctor *****leased me from the hospital after my RNY and I think they are the best doctors around. Best of luck with your upcoming surgery!!

YOU ALL ARE JUST TO NICE !! I WILL BE FINE AS SOON AS I GET THIS SURGERY. I AM NOT WORRIED ONE BIT, IS THIS NORMAL??? DO YOU THINK THE DAY OF SURGERY I WILL FALL APART?? I also had Dr. Wheeler do my surgery at KDMC in April of this year and I have to say...they know how to treat their patients. Dr. Wheeler has a great support system in his staff and they have no problems at all helping you out anytime. I even had Rayetta doing a vitamin hunt for me in May and she came through for me beautifully. Congrats on your date and I cant wait till your on the losing side of things. Also on the plastic surgery comment, I am dying to have a consult and feel too that my treatment was so good at KDMC, why would I need to go to Lexington or anywhere else for the rest. Please keep me informed if you will on your plastic surgery as I am hoping by this spring I will be ready as well and would really like some input on Dr. Rogers and to see his results with Bariatric patients.
