Finally, a surgery date.........
Thanks!
I've been on a racing roller coaster ride since the first time they scheduled my surgery, and it was cancelled. ha ha So, now you're telling me I'm graduating up to the BEAST of all roller coaster, are you? ha ha Well, I sure hope there is someone there to put their hand over my mouth so I won't scream so loud, and hold my hand at the same time. LOL (I can't wait to get started, but at the same time, I'm scared I won't be able to handle all of the emotional times that go with it. I already suffer from depression. I'm just scared of getting so down and inside my black hole again. I definitely don't want to go there!! I will really need everyone's support!! I'm not really scared of the actual surgery, just everything that comes after that. So be warned, you may have to pick me up and dust me off a few times. Or, even kick me in the behind! And, I have been known to have a tantrum or two .... LOL I've never had to do without the foods that I love before. I just ate them in moderation. But now -- I think I will be absolutely miserable!! I am thinking of having to do without cherry cheese cake right now, or chocolate cake and brownies! ha ha My definition of a balanced diet is chocolate in both hands... LOL I have a sweet tooth. It runs in my family. So, I'm going to blame that one on my Maw Maw. She can cook those home made desserts!!!)
Well, I've gotta go. I think I'm going to take a nap so I won't be tempted to raid the kitchen. ha ha

Are you having Lap Band? I am assuming that your original date was scheduled for Feb? That is what is next to your name. I'm confused.
Have you spoken to a Dietician or does your doctor have you see a Psych doctor before surgery? I am not asking you that because I think you are crazy.
I am asking you because I am worried that you are afraid you are going to be "miserable" without sweets, chocolate and raiding the frig. I haven't even had the dang surgery yet and I may not even be the one that should offer advice. I am just thinking that maybe you should discuss your fears and mourning of this stuff with the Doctor's staff before having your surgery so that it won't be as hard for you to give up afterward. With the Band, you can physically still eat that "bad" stuff without dumping like the RNY. Be careful Girl!!
Know what I mean?
I guess I feel that I am so ready, I don't care about missing any food! I am having mine the week of Thanksgiving. I won't have ANY of the good stuff and I truely don't care!!! I even have a recipe for a pumpking parfait if anyone wants it. It would be allowed on the Full Liq (I guess) or Soft. It is like a pudding. May have too much sugar for the RNYers (5.41g).
I'll make a separate post for the recipe.
Good luck!!
