not having surgery!

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been on here in a while, but I need to tell everyone I am not having surgery nov.16th! Two days after I told everyone about my date, I ended up in the hospital for 8 days, and had to have surgery, so now I am under doctor's care for 30 days. So I had to give my date up that I worked so hard all summer for! What a bummer! So now it will be after Christmas, this is so sad , because I was so happy about having my by-pass, I wanted it NOW !! Has anyone had to postpone their surgery??? I want to thank everyone that has offered sweet thoughts my way, I WILL have this surgery! I just got a little off track, I will get better so the doctor will release me. Thanks to all of my friends! Leatha

My gosh girl. I hope you are ok. Dont worry about the short delay in the bypass. Get yourself healthy and focus on you right now. You will still have the bypass.. you have just hit a bump in the road. Things happen and you know when you get your new surgery date we will all still be cheering you on. I had been wondering how you were, I noticed that you havent posted in a while and I was getting concerned. Glad to hear that you are back and like I said... little bumps in the road happen. It will happen! U just concentrate on getting better! 30 days will fly by and u will be a loser before u know it. I mean loser in the good sense of the word lol.

Leatha, I thought my surgery date was going to be January 24, 2006. But, it was cancelled, due to my insurance guidelines. I have waited almost a year for them to be approved and get my new surgery date. I have had bumps in the road too and didn't get to reschedule. But, guess what? They called today and gave me my new surgery date! I still won't believe it's happening until I wake up from it... LOL I have been on the edge of my seat for months!!! I know how you feel and how disappointing it is. But, just hang in there and find something to keep you busy until you are well again. Just be persistent and keep saying -- it will happen. I hope you get well soon!! Everything will fall into place. And, there are great people here to give support when you need it. Don't be afraid to ask!! Hugs! Sharee

Congrats.........You do what is best for you lol......i no last yr the holidays where so misreable for me,going from house to house,and all i could think of was i want rest.The food thing didnt bother me because i was so nauseas,you sound like you have it all worked out..........take care and make sure to seep us updated...... vickie
