Jane Read carefully.... Look to the right of your screen. See the box with the Message Emoticons? There is a column that says "Type This" and the symbol is next to it. To use the symbol all you have to do is either type exactly what you see (for example: " : - o = ) You can also copy it by highlighting the "Type this" and right clicking your mouse and selecting "copy" then come back to the thread and right click your mouse again and select "paste" that should do it. Now practice
