post op girly question...
Hey Sarah
Now that you mention it, that is the reason I have gained so much weight. Every month, Aunt Flo comes to visit and I get a huge appetite and want to eat chocolate. The rest of the month I eat like a bird. So from now on, lets just blame Flo. Lol
It makes sense really. When I was pregos, I lost weight....no Flo. THAT'S IT!!
I don't need WLS, I just need to stay Prego!!
Sarah,
I had those problems after surgery also. I think its a mind game. As for horrific cycles...your gyn could do an ablation, they burn the lining, then you actually don't cycle for about 4 months at all...if you problem is from heavy cycles. Mine tried that. Then last year I was still having heavy cramps, So I went through a total hysterecomy. We totally bypassed the birth control. Not all ins. will pay for birth control since you have had a tubal. I checked into that. Birth Control is just a dr's way of postponing things, when they know in the end it will have to be corrected. They tend to lilke to milk the system(as my husband would say). You have to figure out how much you are willing to put up with.

Thanks for the reply.
I have begged my doc to take out the parts or do the ablation... said my insurance wouldnt cover it until I tried something else first... well I did try the something else and no I didnt try it for a year but I tried it long enough to know that it wasnt working. I just figured since my gyn knows my insurance company well that he would know what they would expect. (i work in the hosp that my gyn is at)
The more I think about it the more I agree with you... im thinking they are just wanting to put it off... if they put it in as a medical need then getting something like that approved wouldnt be an issue... i hope that makes sense... I think when I get home from work in the morning I will give my doc a call and make a follow up appt to talk about this with him again. Thanks again!
