Hello everyone. This is a first for me. I have been reading posts on OH for a while and then decided to join. And I have now decided to say Hi and introduce myself. My name is Beth, I am 36 yrs old, soon to be 37 in Jan. I have struggled with weight my whole life like many of you. Have tried just about every diet out there. I remember being 11 years old when I went on my first diet, and of course failed. I recently got approval from my insurance company to get the RNY bypass done on Nov 14, 2006. It was one of the best days of my life, right behind the births of my 3 children, and the day I married my soul mate and best friend. We have been married for 17 1/2 wonderful years. I hope to meet some wonderful people here who are going through or been through the same thing I am. Hope everyone has a great day.

Hey Welcome Beth. Feel like you won the lottery when you got your approval I bet. At least that is how I describe it. Hold on, sit back and enjoy the ride. It has been the most amazing, life changing, wonderful journey I have ever experienced. I too struggled my entire life. I was the invisible 300lb women. That is how I felt. Today I let my self be seen. I enjoy life so much. Being thin really does feel great. Good luck Jane
