Pre-op testing for Dr. Geller's patients

Can someone who sees Dr. Geller tell me what pre-op testing and consults he requires? My insurance company only requires Dr. Geller to say that I meet the criteria for surgery. Any other testing and consults will be what Dr. Geller wants. I know I'll receive this info at seminar. But my husband has to decide how much money to set aside in our Medical Reimbursement account before I get to go to seminar. I assume I'll need to see the nutritionist and psychologist and have basic blood work and chest x-ray prior to surgery. What else will he require? I have no problems with blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, etc. and my gall bladder was removed several years ago. Thanks! Marcy

I had to see a nutritionist, psychologist, had blood work, ekg, gallbladder ultrasound, chest xray. I had to go to a cardiologist and a pulmonary doctor. Some people have to get vascular clearance also. And some people have to have a sleep study done. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Michelle...thanks so much! I have one more question for you. Do you have any idea how much Dr. Geller billed your insurance company (if you had coverage)? My insurance will pay 90% of the allowable charge. I'm wondering what the maximum that could be is...... Also the anesthesiologist?
