HELLO EVERYONE!! Sorry, but I have not posted a profile yet, but I am from Pikeville, KY. I have to learn how to do the profile. I just got home from Lexington today, I stayed at my daughters house after surgery so I thought I would try to get some suggestions/help with my protein. I had the RNY by Dr. Steiner on Tuesday (10/16) and far have lost 18 lbs. I have not really felt hungry yet, but am worried about getting enough protein in each day. And so far the only tasty liquid I have drank is Crystal Lite Fruit Punch. Don't like water, but I am drinking it anyway. Any suggestions would be of great help. Just to let everyone one how it went for me. I was scheduled to be at the hospital for surgery at 7:30 a.m., but when I got to my daughters house on Monday night she was very sick - vomiting. I took her to St. Joe and they admitted her and finally got a bed at 3:30 a.m. My sister was with me and I went to my daugters house and slept a couple of hours then went back to the hospital to check on her and then went down to surgery. Dr. Steiner was soooooooo wonderful, he decided to look in on my daughter before he done the surgery. Even though he was not her doctor he checked on her throughout my stay at the hospital. She got out and then had to be sent to Louisville and admitted there. She got out on Friday night, She was discharged and still vomiting. They can not tell us what is wrong they just take the salene out and eventually add to it and then this vomiting starts over again after a few months. She had lap band 2x in Louisville and seems to still have difficulity. That's a whole other story, hopefully I can post all this in my profile. But anyway I have done great. There was little to no pain just soreness. So far things are good except all the drinking and the protein.

Hi Vickie, I love Walmarts Body Fortress Chocolate Whey Protein. I usually heat up a glass of water, mix a scoop of protien in a bowl with a tea of coffee, then 2-3 teas of splenda. Its delicious. U just can't heat the protien but u can add it to ho****er, just not boiling or its nasty. Good luck and I'll add u to my friends list! Welcome to the boards! Ange

Thanks. I will get some and try it. I am glad to have a support group to talk to. Hopefully, I will do this instead of setting on the couch and thinking about what I can't eat.

I enjoy ProScore 100 chocolate. I buy it online from vitalady.com, but I know it's available elsewhere also. I swear, I've tried about 10 different protein shakes and this is what I've used for 4 years now - since I had my surgery! I mix one scoop with one scoop of unflavored that I get at GNC, and I love the mild flavor. I usually mix with about 7 ice cubes, water, tofu (to give it a milk-shakey texture) and occasionally banana or peanutbutter, but usually not. I love it. Hope you are doing well, Michelle Linette
