I just made my appointment for Dr. Geller's seminar..

It's next Tuesday, the 24th. I'm excited to get the process going, though I probably won't be able to actually have the surgery until after the first of the year. Any other newbies going to this seminar? Anyone have encouraging words about Dr. Geller?

Hi Marcy! Welcome!! I read your profile and it sounds so much like mine!! Three years ago I went to Dr. Geller's seminar, did all my preliminary appointments to get the lapband and was even scheduled for surgery (May 8, 2003) and three weeks prior to the surgery my insurance denied coverage!! So I was totally convinced I would never have gastric bypass surgery..... well here I am now (three years later) and will be getting the laproscopic gastric bypass surgery on THIS FRIDAY (Oct 20th!!) Instead of going to Dr. Geller, I am having Dr. Shina perform my surgery. I am really excited. I went to Dr. Shina's seminar on August 15, 2006 and will be having my lap gastric bypass surgery on October 20th.... that is only a little over two months, the ball is really rolling along fast. But I am so ready for a new "loser" life. Best of luck in your quest for a new healthier life!!

Congrats! Dr Geller is very sweet and a great dr. I am sure u will be very impressed with him. I wish u the best!
