Esophogeoscope

I am having my scope done on Tuesday morning -- bright and early @ 7:00 a.m. I was just wondering how you feel afterwards? I mean, does your throat hurt, or is your stomach upset or what? I know I can't eat or drink after midnight and all that, but was wondering if I was going to need some lozenges or spray for my throat when I get back home. Thanks to anyone who can let me know. Dr. Rod asked me to be a part of a study they are doing with exercise bands. I said yes. I figured it would help me keep motivated to exercise if someone were monitoring my progress from time to time. They say my surgery will be sometime in November or December. Just my luck to be sucking up gravy on Thanksgiving or Christmas.... LOL Oh well, I won't be laying around talking about how full and miserable I am, like everybody else will be! ha ha I'm kind of just laying back right now enjoying the weather. (I just LOVE fall. It's my favorite time of year. I've been enjoying sitting on my front porch. It's sooooo nice! I guess I'm a mountain girl! lol I like it a *****illy. It just feels festive and makes me want to make hot chocolate, or coffee, or hot tea and sit under my afghan, in my rocking chair on the porch. Oh, and don't forget my book. Gotta have that book to read! lol) Hope everyone else is enjoying it too!! I decorated my porch for Halloween last weekend. I bet I look like a dummy sitting on my porch! ha ha Oh well, pretty soon, they won't know who's sitting there, because I'll be a loser!! YEA! Hugs to everyone, Sharee

Hi Sharee, I am glad your about to sit on the loser bench. Even though it can get rough at times, it is worth it. I didnt have a problem with my throat after the test, I hope you dont either. I enjoy fall also, but this year I keep freezing, I think I am going to take out 2 blanket throws and wrap up while I sit on the porch. I like to take decafe coffee out and sit on the porch while I enjoy the cool weather, I must have lost my warm layer of fat because I keep freezing. I cant seem to sit long enough to finish one cup. I am not complaining though, I am looking forward to more and more being gone. Blessings Amy

Just the thought of something being down my throat makes me uncomfortable. ha ha But, I'm sure I'll be fine. Right now, I'm the hot blooded one in the house. When everyone else is cold, I'm not. I'm kind of looking forward to being the same as everyone else around me. Then we can stop turning the heat up and down... ha ha I'm looking forward to losing just 20 pounds! ha ha My scale hasn't gone down in many years!! I won't believe it until I see it though. I tell everybody that if there is the slightest chance it won't work for someone, it will be me. Just how my luck runs! ha ha But, I'm sure it will, I just can't wait to get this fat off of me! The wait is killing me. I'm not a patient person when it comes to waiting on things to happen. Well.....enjoy that decaf and bundle up! Hugs Sharee
