OT of WLS... anyone torn a ..

Anyone torn a tendon before. I have been experiencing discomfort in the elbow area for a few months. About a month and a half ago I noticed that the discomfort was turning into pain. I went to the Doctors office where Dr. Adkins I both thought that I had tennis elbow or tendonitis. She prescribed me some muscle relaxers and ibuprofren. Also told me to get one of those velcro straps to limit the movement in my forearm. The pain has increased even more sense then... and yes I take the strap off every once in a while. Not to tight that the circulation gets cutoff. I called back and spoke with her , go get an xray. She calls me back last weeke and had all ready scheduled me for an MRI but no as to why. That was right up there with one of the most painful things I have done. If not painful how about uncomfortable as heck. The position I was stuck in for 50 minutes just about brought a tear to my eye. Don't forget me = big fat guy being stuck in little tiny MRI tube. I get a call tues saying that I have a tendon that is torn and she wants to to go to an orthapedist. I schedule an appointment with the same doc that did mom's knee replacements. NOw you ask what is the point of this thread. Has anyone had experience with a similar tendon issue? What can I expect? Surgery? Since I am being sent to a specialist I kinda ruled out therapy just yet. What do you think?

I went through the same thing about a year ago kept going to the dr. gave me meds, went to a specialist,had xrays was told it was tennis elbow well it hurt so bad fo nearly over six weeks , if it does turn out to be that i feel sorry for you cause it sometimes still comes back,i took my meds, gave it a lot of rest,ice on it , hope you feel better.
