MAD ARGGGGGHHHH
I am so mad and confused right now. I could chew nails, fart and kill a deer at 50 yards right now.
Why you ask??? Some of you remember my attempts for WLS have been thwarted due to HUMANA, and I am switching here in about two weeks to UHC. 
Now on the news is the story about UHC and my doctor's hospital in a ******g battle with each other. Won't know for about a week as to whether my new insurance will allow Dr. Tom to do my surgery or not. I might have to switch docs and shops. I would prefer to not have to leave my area; but that might not be up to me.
Another reason this bites is because I all ready paid all my program fees up front.

Hey Ryan, Hang in there. UHC is so big and so many people have it. I think they will reach an agreement. I heard rumors that St Luke was going to pull out of the Alliance, but like I said that was a rumor. You know St Luke will negotiate they don't want St. Elizabeth to have total control. UHC is way to big and I think things will work out.

Oh I'm so sorry u r having to go thru this. Its such a crock of something brown and stinky. Hopefully things will work out.

P.S. I've got plenty of deer here on my road in Etown, they're always jumping out in front of my car, well not anymore, we totalled my car Sunday night, but I guess they'll be jumping out in front of my hubbys truck. I'll send u some, just keep the farting up there. My hubbys so full of it we don't need any more down this way.
Jane is right about alliance and St Luke. I dont have much on details with it other than we should know something in November. I do work for St. Luke but at this point everything is up in the air... I am sorry that I dont have any advice for you. I do hope that you can still get your surgery without jumping through anymore hoops. I wish you the best of luck !

I just got done putting in 13 in a row 13 hour days at work and then heard that on the radio. I lost i****ched some TV and got a little sleep and feeling more sane right now.
Jane I hope your thinking/hunch is correct. As UHC is a very big company and would seem almost business suicide to not allow its use at your facility. I know there are other docs out there, but there is something about Dr. Tom and his practice that I like and feel comfortable with. PLus as Brenda stated before the ride home from Dr. Tom and ST. Luke is a lot easier than say having to ride from Cincy/Dr. Curry or Lexington/St. Joes. I live within a mile or two of the hospital.
Angela and Sarah thanks for your replies. Sarah hope your moms surgery goes exceptionally well. Angela sorry to hear about the accident, I will post more in a reply to your post there.
If anyone heres something please post on here as I have another long string of Overtime nights starting saturday. Its easier for me to check OH than it is to check the local news or radio.

Dr Tom brought his family to my house on Sunday, you shoulda seen him on a horse..
now there was a picture, nothing more manly than a goodlookin guy on a horse..
Watching him Sunday with his wife and kids was really cool, he is a good man with a big heart. He is soft spoken and gentle ..very cute with their sons, (the boys are absolutely adorable) I think he smiled the entire time he was here. Some times people wonder what docs are like away from the hospital..The ones that are kind and good with people want to be very involved with them for a long time after, that's the way he is..surgery is only a small part of this..the first step to a new you..
He has great skills and bedside manner, he's an awesome surgeon.
you are in great hands...but you already know that, right?
